What does IT security mean to a small business? We believe that you need to be able to concentrate on the needs of your own customers without worrying about accidentally deleting data or losing three days work to a virus.

• Backup
  We will create an automatic backup strategy to keep your important data safe. This includes making several week’s changes accessible, and keeping a copy of your data at a remote location.
• Anti-virus software
  We will ensure that your anti-virus software is automatically updated to protect you against the latest threats without user interaction. All e-mails and files will be automatically scanned and uninfected. We receive a log of all viral activity, which will alert us to any problems.
• Firewall
  A firewall is a device which separates and protects your private network from the rest of the internet. As a SmoothWall partner, we can provide an enterprise-level firewall at a budget price, often reusing your obsolete equipment. • Internal Security
  We will help you create a security policy to prevent unauthorised employees accessing sensitive information. This includes ensuring the physical security of your servers and networking equipment.
• Windows updates
  Bugs and vulnerabilities are regularly discovered in the Windows operating system. On newer systems, we can automatically patch these vulnerabilities remotely after testing them on our own machines. On older systems, we will apply updates as part of an ongoing maintenance schedule.
• User education
  When there is a security issue we feel you need to know about, we will send you an e-mail in plain English describing the problem and what you can do to guard against it.
